Despite efforts of Valleyite, Hope International women’s volleyball still looking for its first win

Hope International’s women’s volleyball team continues to look for its first win. Two more losses yesterday at a tournament in Azusa, CA, despite the strong performance of a Valley product, left the California school at 0-4 to start the season.

HIU fell to Oklahoma Baptist 25-18, 25-23, 24-26, 25-16, then fell again in their nightcap to Kirkland’s Northwest University 25-21, 25-18, 25-19. Royals senior Sine Schirmer did her best to keep her team in both contests. The 2008 Mount Si grad dropped team highs in kills in both matches – 18 against OK Baptist and eight more against Northwest. In addition, she had an ace and seven digs against OKB, and she added an ace, assist, and four more digs against the team from Kirkland.

HIU looks for its first win today, we’ll keep you posted.
